Unanimous Consent Agreement—H.R. 83by Senator Harry Reid
Posted on 2014-12-13
REID. I ask unanimous consent that following the filing of
cloture on executive calendar nominations--the list of nominations is
at the desk, the last of which is the cloture motion on the Biggs
nomination, Executive Calendar No. 1147--the Senate resume legislative
session and the Senate proceed to vote on the motion to invoke cloture
on the motion to concur in the House amendment to the Senate amendment
to H.R. 83; that if cloture is invoked, there be 2 minutes postcloture
debate time remaining on the motion to concur; that upon the use or
yielding back of time, the motion to concur with an amendment be
withdrawn and the Senate then immediately proceed to vote on the motion
The PRESIDING OFFICER. Is there objection? Without objection, it is so ordered.
Mr. REID. There will be some votes tonight. Everybody be patient. I appreciate very much everyone's patience. As I told some Senators a little while ago in both parties, what we have gone through over the last day or so I think is going to help us next year. I really mean that. I certainly hope so.
[[Page S6805]] I now move to proceed to executive session to consider Calendar No. 735.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The question is on agreeing to the motion.
